We automatically collect information about how you use the Service, including:

  • Video call history (timestamps, duration, and pairing identifiers)
  • Pairing queue activity and preferences
  • Device type, operating system, and browser information
  • IP address and approximate geographic location

2.4 Video Call Data

Habibti facilitates live video calls between paired users. We do not record, store, or monitor the audio or video content of your calls. Call metadata (such as start time, end time, duration, and participant identifiers) is collected for service operation, billing, and safety purposes. Video and audio streams are transmitted in real time through our video communication provider and are not retained after the call ends.

2.5 Payment Information

Subscription payments are processed by our third-party payment processor. We do not directly collect, store, or have access to your full credit card number, debit card number, CVV, or bank account details. Our payment processor handles all payment data in compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). We receive and retain only your subscription status, plan type (monthly or annual), transaction identifiers, billing dates, and payment confirmation records.

2.6 Abuse Report Data

When a user submits an abuse report during a video call, a screenshot of the active call may be automatically captured and attached to the report. These screenshots are used solely for reviewing and resolving safety complaints. They are stored securely with encryption, and access is strictly limited to our trust and safety team.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To create, manage, and maintain your account and profile
  • To pair you with other users for video calls based on availability and any preferences you have set
  • To facilitate live video calls between paired users
  • To process subscription payments, manage billing cycles, and handle refund requests
  • To investigate abuse reports, enforce our community guidelines, and maintain user safety
  • To send you important service-related communications, including account status updates, billing notifications, and safety alerts

We do not share your personal information with third parties for advertising purposes.   • Your call history and pairing history are anonymized so they can no longer be associated with you.
  • Abuse report data (including any screenshots in which you appear) may be retained for up to 12 months after report resolution for safety and legal compliance purposes.
  • Billing records and transaction history may be retained as required by applicable tax, accounting, and financial regulations.
  • Backups containing your data are purged within 90 days of account deletion.

9. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active and as necessary to provide the Service. Specific retention periods include:

  • Profile data: Retained until you delete your account
  • Call metadata: 12 months after the call occurred
  • Abuse report screenshots: Up to 12 months after report resolution
  • Payment and billing records: As required by applicable financial and tax regulations (typically 7 years)
  • Pairing queue data: Temporary; cleared after each session ends
  • Usage analytics: Aggregated and anonymized data may be retained indefinitely for service improvement

After the applicable retention period expires, your data is either permanently deleted or anonymized so that it can no longer be associated with you.

10. Age Restriction (18+)

Habibti is intended strictly for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect, solicit, or store personal information from anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to register for or use the Service. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a user under 18, we will immediately terminate their account and permanently delete all associated data. If you believe a minor is using our Service, please report it to loveisblindhabbibi@gmail.com.

11. Abuse Reporting and Safety

Our platform includes an in-call abuse reporting system designed to protect users during video calls. When a report is filed:

  • A screenshot of the active video call may be automatically captured and attached to the abuse report.
  • Screenshots are encrypted in transit and at rest, and stored securely with restricted access.
  • Only authorized members of our trust and safety team can view abuse report screenshots.
  • Screenshots are used solely for the purpose of reviewing and resolving the specific report and are deleted within 12 months of resolution.
  • If a report leads to legal proceedings, associated data may be retained longer as required by law.

By using the video call feature, you acknowledge and consent to the possibility that screenshots may be captured if another user reports the call. This measure exists solely to protect all users from harassment, abuse, and violations of our community standards.

12. International Data Transfers

Your personal data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your country of residence, including the United States. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction. When we transfer your data internationally, we ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place to protect your information, including the use of standard contractual clauses approved by relevant authorities, and compliance with applicable data transfer regulations such as the GDPR.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors.
